Yeay for Daddies!

Hey!

Guess what?  Great surprise!  My daddy flew down to spend a week with everyone!  He flew into Vegas on Sunday, and spent the night at our place.  He's going to hang out here until tomorrow night when he'll go to my sister Faith's to spend some time with her family as well.

I love having him here.  It's not very often that I get to see my parents, and it always makes me so happy to see them.  My mom was just here visiting in October, so it was awesome for her to be able to see Tristan and to get to know him a little better.  I was sad that my dad wasn't able to be there for that, but it's wonderful that he's able to be here now.  He's not wanted to put my little guy down!  And I don't mind one bit.  We were just in Virginia for Christmas, and Tristan was loved and adored by all of Nick's family as well (details on that later, lots of stories and pictures!).  It always makes me happy when Tristan's grandparents get to be with him and spend time with him, because it wasn't something I got very much of.  We lived close to my dad's dad, Bumpa, and yes we'd go visit him.  But it was mostly holiday's and special occasions.  And I only got to see my mom's parents a handful of times.  I realize with everyone's living situations it's going to be very similar for Tristan, and that's why every visit is very special to me.  Plus I love seeing my parents.  You know it's been four years since I spent a Christmas at home?  I wish we lived closer, and maybe some day we will.  But I am so grateful I was able to see my mommy in October, and I'm so grateful I'm able to have my daddy here now.  They are both amazing people, generous beyond compare, loving and supportive.  I couldn't have asked for better parents.  I only hope one day I will be able to return the favor, I want to be able to do for them all that they have done for me, and I want to do the same for Tristan.  I have great role models to look up to, and great examples to take after.
