Throwdown!

It's a new favorite show of mine, the Throwdown with Bobby Flay. The other day, I learned the secret to the 2nd place world winning best pizza.  It's zucchini!  Luckily, zucchini happens to be one of my most favorite foods in the entire world, and the other ingredient, prochiuto (if that's how you spell it).  Now, we're not super rich, so that second ingredient needed to be replaced with bacon.  Just as  good!

Tonight, Nick and I decided to try our hand at the recipe, and it was a complete success!  I found a quick pizza crust recipe and got that started, while Nick chopped and cooked the bacon.  Then I made the cheese sause: cream cheese, mozzarella, green onions, oregano, parsley, and garlic.  I tried my hand at tossing the pizza dough......didn't work very well, so I just used a rolling pin.  It looked and smelled amazing!  And when it came out of the oven, Nick ate half of it himself.  That's how I know something has turned out well, when Nick goes back for seconds.  You all should try it!  It's seriously one of the best tasting pizzas ever.

Another thing I learned is that watching conference is virtually impossible with a small child.  Haha, we tried.  He was still pretty rambunctious, and wanted to be played with, and wanted to eat, and wanted snacks, and then wanted to walk around and pull himself up on the coffee table where the computer was.  It was pretty crazy.  I'm glad we have the Ensign, so I'll eventually be able to read what I missed.  But it was still nice, being able to watch in our own house.  And even though he is a little nuts, I love my little Tristan.  He makes my life fun and unpredictable.  And I loved sitting and watching with Nick.  He's my favorite.  Hopefully tomorrow Tristan will be a little mor calm so we can all sit and watch together.
