Some children with torticollis have it so severe that it requires more than a year of therapy and more than one botox treatment. Tristan is the most severe case any of his docs or therapists have seen, so that just might be him. We dont' mind, just so long as he is taken care of and is able to grow and develop as normally as he can. I want him to be able to enjoy life as a baby, and not be confined to his back on the ground. He gets so excited when he is able to get somewhere and grab something. He loves being able to explore, and I wish he was more mobil and could do it better. The good thing is though, he doesn't really know the difference until he sees other babies moving better than him. Like when we were at the park and a little girl his age showed him up crawling and kneeling all over the place. He wanted to chase her so badly, but the poor thing just couldn't keep up. So we have been working on it at home.
Like I said, he is making major progress and doing so well! He stands up next to the wall and before we know it he is halfway across the room! I'm just concerned about his tilting again. We put him in his collar and he hold's his head up, but we'll see what happens at his follow up appointments.
Mile stone: he will be a year old next Wednesday! And we are taking him to Chuckie Cheese for some good old fashion fun and pizza!
