Faces

Its interesting how you can see family resemblance in your children.  And what's crazy is being able to see both sides of the family in one child.  In every baby picture, I see someone from my family and someone from Nick's family in Tristan.  One picture he looks like my brother Josh, another he looks like Nick's mom, another he looks like my dad, another he looks like one of his Davis cousins.  It's just crazy how families look alike, and how families meld in children.  And what's even crazier, is Tristan is a product of my genetics!  He is a little boy version of me, at least that's what Nick likes to say.  He says Tristan looks more like me than him, but I think that mostly has to do with his chubby baby cheeks.  He looks a lot like I did as a baby.  And his eyes are probably turning brown.  It's a little sad, I wanted them to stay blue like Nick's but that's okay.  He's perfect just the way he is.

He's been such a happy boy, he likes to hang out in his door bouncer, thinking he can just walk away in it.  Maybe we should think about getting him a walker since he's probably never going to crawl.  Might as well play to his strengths, right?
